From 1 July 2015 all schools, registered early years childcare providers and registered later years childcare providers  are subject to a duty under section 26 of the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015, in the exercise of their functions, to have "due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism".

At Chadsmoor Federation we aim to prepare our students to become good citizens of the future. Through our curriculum we teach pupils British values and how to celebrate diversity. We aim to raise their awareness of radicalisation and extremist views, whatever the source. We have adopted the principles and advice found in 'Keeping Children Safe in Education 2019' and the 2011 'Prevent Strategy'. These are incorporated into our school policy on tackling extremism.
